Oil tasting
Italy is the country of olive groves that shape the hilly landscape.
Come and taste different varieties of olive oil that you can enjoy on the bruschetta, a simple slice of toasted bread, rubbed down with garlic, drizzled with olive oil and finished with a little bit of sea salt.
We can book for you a light dinner in a a family owned olive oil mill where they will offer you bruschetta, local cheese and salumi, and for dessert their vin santo ( a wine dessert) to eat with “tozzetti”, dried biscuits with almond. During the harvesting period, from Octobr to December, you can visit the mill while at work, and see all the process to obtain oil that is a simply fruit juice, extracted a low temperature and containing vitamins and microelements very important for our health-
We can also organize for you a visit to a farm, producing wine and olive oil. They freeze the olive oil as soon as it is produced to maintain unaltered its proprieties and you will be able to taste it as green as it was when freshly produced few months before. Differently than wine, the olive oil is at its best within one year from its production.
In this farm, you can also visit the olive groves, where there are trees 300 years old!
